Room for Roses

We have all heard that good friends are hard to find. I Believe God brings people in our lives for many reasons and different seasons. Some of those people become close friends others even kindred spirits. Friendships take time to grow and some friendships fall apart. I have experienced all these types. But what I love most of all is when I meet NEW friends! Its a realtionship with a new fresh beginning, and a gift from God. Im Thankful for the new friendhsips God puts in my life and I dont want to take them for granted! After all this I want to add...Ashley Cooper Winn, I am thankful for our new growing friendship:)

Me and Tj are thankful for you and we both know God has an amazing plan for your life and we will always be there to support you and Jon. I remember us talking about how you wanted a pair of hair combs so in honor of your first album 'Room for Roses', I made you a pair.:) I hope you like them and enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them. I will be praying for Gods guidance and peace over your life. I pray you will continue to Hear his loving voice and feel His amazing grace!

Renew

This necklace was pretty frustrating to make. I was trying a new technique of looping wire and I just could not do it right. After about the 4th time, I finally actually read the instructions instead of just copying off the pictures, ha ha! It was already a long day and I was determined to make my idea into reality. I was thinking after I finally finished my necklace how proud I was of myself. I didnt give up and through my frustration I made something new and pretty:). I thought about how my weekend was and how I have been burdened and focused on other things that hurt me or made me angry and I didnt like how I was feeling. It weighed heavy on my heart. I dont want to be like that or live in bitterness or unforgiveness. I want my heart to be healed and I want to be understood. I then thought of the word 'new', and looked again at the concordance in the back of my bible. I found a verse that I have heard and read many times before but today it really popped out at me and I beleive that God was speaking to me. He doesnt want to leave me where I am. He wants to as Ezekiel 35:26 says, "Give me a new heart and put a new spirit in me..." I want change and I want others to see that change. I know I am loved by my Savior and He has a wonderful plan for me but He cannot leave me as I am right now! He wants to teach me to grow closer to Him so I can grow in my relationship with others. He wants to be a part of every detail of my life. God loves me and He is my everything! He promises me in His word that He can heal every place of my heart and make it new again, and I believe HIM! Most of all... I need HIM! :)

A New Morning

I woke up this morning really wanting to make another pair of hair combs. I just enjoyed making the pair for my friend Courtney. I warmed up my cup of coffee, sat down and took out my tools and beads. I was thinking just how thankful I was to be in my cozy home and enjoying my quiet time on this beautiful morning.I opened my bible to this verse in Psalm 5:3. It says, "In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning , I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." Wow! I knew right then that when I was making my flowered hair combs that it was the verse I wanted my combs to symbolize. Everytime I wear my pretty combs, I will remember how precious my quiet time is and How much God loves it when I start my day with Him. I know He hears my voice when I pray and I wait for Him to speak to me and believing that He will so He can guide me through the day ahead! I just love that verse. God's Word is truly living and active! I love sharing with you all the ways God has been speaking through me while making my jewelry and how I feel His prensence while I'm creating :)

Indian Summer

This piece I made is especially for my best girlfriend of 13 years!! She is loved and thought about often! We live so far from each other, but Im going to see her again on her wedding day at the end of September!! I am so happy for her and her fiance John. She is a princess to John but also a princess to Our God:). I cannot wait to see her in her dress and marry the man of her dreams!! I made these hair combs for her because me and her like to go back in time and I wanted to give her something for her birthday/ wedding shower . While I made these I knew exactly what beads I would put on these vintage hair combs:) Courtney hopes her wedding day will be an Indain Summer wedding, so The ladybugs and topaz colored flower beads represent exactly that. I also know that one of Courtneys favorite colors are Tiffany blue and I wanted to make sure I put that in:) I hope you enjoy your gift my dear friend and that you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them!! Swallows

One of my favorite verses that inspired me to make my Swallow bird earrings is in Psalms 84:3. Oh, I just love this verse! It says, "Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near your altar, O Lord of Heaven's Armies, my King and my God!."

I am in love with this verse! I love how David watched the birds and how he knew that the swallow knew who her creator was! She wanted to build her nest and raise her young in the presence of her Protecter. That is how I want to live;I want to be close to my King and my God and I want to raise my family under His love, protection and guidence. What amazing grace and love...that The Kings of Kings wants us to be near HIM too! I hope that these earrings remind you of these verses. Lets all hide God's word in our hearts so we may all grow closer to HIM.

A.Lynn Jewelry ~ A Woman of Noble Character

This is the first piece I made. It symbolizes love,life,and Family. I want every piece of my collection to have a meaning to it and represent a verse from the bible. With this first necklace, the bird is the mother and the nest is her home with her children resting in it. Everytime I wear it I want to remember what Proverbs 31:15 says about being a wife and a mother. It says, "She gets up while it is still dark;she provides food for her family...". It's reminding me of the mother that Gods wants me to be and his amazing plans for my life! The 17th verse says, "She takes care of her family and sets about her work vigorously...". It brings the Word of God to life and encourages me to live and act like a Woman of Noble Character! Living a Holy and pleasing life to God is my main purpose for living, and I love Proverbs 31 becasue it teaches me to be a better wife and mother.
I cannot wait to add more jewelry to my collection that will symbolize more of my favorite verses in the scriptures; verses that encourage me and speak to me on a daily basis. Its my way of leaning on the promises of God and keeping HIS Word hidden in my heart. I want all my pieces to bring Glory to God and bring simple beauty for everyone to enjoy and love. Im so excited and want to bless and share my jewlery with others!
